About Us
Thank you for noticing DUMBO Press. We are a new independent literary press that recently launched in March 2024.
DUMBO Press is an altruistic endeavor, the mother of all geese, a passion project, a clean-cut website harboring the dark underbelly of life. We strive to be a respite from the harsh world of traditional publishing and grow a readership that loves literary fiction. We want the Dostoevsky-wannabes, Hemmingway-wannabes, the Sylvia Plath-wannabes, and everything in between. At Dumbo Press, we aim to make the dreams of writers shatter a bit more gracefully. Less like a bull in a china shop, more like a clumsy ballet dancer.
